[on ‘Nothing More’] “As you race through the drop filled with thumping kicks and tight snares the melody is what drives this song. Do yourself a favor and keep an ear out for what Mazare is putting out”

Italian producer Mazare teamed up with Brighton-based metal band EVILLE on the new track ‘King For A Day,’ which – accompanied by a music video – released on 22 May via Universal Music Italy. Mazare has consistently received support from prominent artists such as SLANDER, Illenium, Seven Lions, Said The Sky, Dabin, Koven, Don Diablo, and many others. Since his debut, his eclectic style, positive attitude, and high-energy performances have attracted the attention of some of the industry’s leading labels, including Monstercat and Insomniac Records. Over the past six years, Mazare has predominantly released his music through these platforms, amassing more than 35 million streams on Spotify alone.
EVILLE is a rising brat metal band, gaining support from BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, and Radio X. Known for their explosive live shows, they have performed at festivals like Reading and Leeds and 2000 Trees, and have toured with acts such as WARGASM and Delilah Bon.
Born and raised in Northeast Italy, Mazare is quickly establishing himself in the global music scene. His journey into music began with his father’s extensive record collection, which filled his childhood home with sounds from iconic artists like Pink Floyd, U2, and Genesis. A pivotal moment came in 2009 when he first heard ‘When Love Takes Over’ by David Guetta, marking the entry of electronic music into his life. Known for his dynamic artistic approach, Mazare masterfully navigates between heavy-hitting metal-electronic hybrids and more emotional, pop-rock-infused sounds, all while cultivating a dedicated and rapidly expanding fanbase globally. He draws inspiration from various artists, including The Prodigy, Noisia, and Bring Me The Horizon.
On ‘King For A Day’, Jersey club-inspired kick drums build up and eventually drop into a colourful frenzy of distorted guitars, hard-hitting breakbeat-inspired drums, and looming electronic Reese basses. A stellar vocal performance by EVILLE lead singer Eva Sheldrake is accompanied by a powerful rap verse from none other than Mazare himself. ‘King For A Day’ is sure to ensnare fans of Rage Against the Machine, Evanescence and Bring Me The Horizon.
Along with the single’s release, Mazare dropped a vibrant music video accompanying ‘King For A Day.’ Grungy, VHS-style footage of EVILLE and Mazare is intercut with clips of an ominous figure draped in red linen. The ‘King For A Day’ music video truly transforms the single into an audiovisual experience that is not to be missed.
Mazare shared the following: “‘King For A Day’ was born from the discomfort caused by the current geopolitical situation and the impact it’s having on everyone’s lives. I felt the need to speak up about it, and that’s why this time I challenged myself with writing and performing the small rap section in the second verse. I wanted the song to be as direct and unaltered as possible. And I need to shout out Eville for being very respectful of the vision for this one. They took the song, made it their own, and delivered an incredible performance that perfectly captured the feeling I was going for.”
