Event Highlight: The Path to Leadership
Thank you to all guests and attendees of “The Path to Leadership” event on March 10th at SFIAC in San Francisco.
We heard and got inspired by high profile panelists – Adriana Scalora, Francesca Di Marco, and Lucina Di Meco – who talked about their path to leadership positions. We learned how they keep on breaking the bias, by reaching milestones and overcoming challenges on their journey as leaders.
This happened through the help of Annamaria Di Giorgio, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, who run the conversation with curiosity and empathy.
The BAIA Board also awarded Romana Bracco with a Certificate of Appreciation for her continuing hard work and dedication to the Italian community in the Bay Area and for being a source of inspiration for all women and men over the years.
Our donation for Ukrainian refugees
Helping communities is core to the BAIA mission. What is happening in Ukraine impacts people in that country and affects fellow community members living in the San Francisco Bay Area, who are worried about their Ukrainian family or friends.
We matched the proceeds of this event and donated them to Doctors without Borders.
Thanks to all the people who attended the event and those who donated, we were able to make a donation of $1,500 to support aid efforts and the refugee crisis.
