David Haggerty, ITF President, said: “The stage is set for an exhilarating week of Davis Cup tennis in September. We are very pleased to confirm Split as our fourth Davis Cup Finals Group Stage host, and we are looking forward to a fantastic event at the Gripe Arena. This is a fascinating stage of the competition, with 16 teams fighting it out for a place in the knockout Final 8 in Malaga in November. It is sure to produce memorable moments, and to bring out the best in the world’s elite men’s players as they represent their countries with pride. I encourage all supporters to come and cheer on their teams and sample the unique Davis Cup atmosphere for themselves.”

Nikolina Babic, President of the Croatian Tennis Association, said: “We are very happy that the Davis Cup Finals Group D will be held in Croatia. Split is wonderful city, with great history and a great tennis tradition. It will be thrilling experience for players, teams but also tennis fans from the USA, Finland and the Netherlands. It is also great opportunity for Croatian fans to attend such high quality ties at home and I don’t need to underline how important it is for the unique Davis Cup atmosphere.”
