Led by iconic pianist Herbie Hancock and Musical Director John Beasley (USA), the All-Star Global Concert will feature performances by an international roster of artists from all corners of the globe, including master Gnawa musician Abdellah El Gourd (Morocco). Antonio Faraò is a pianist of uncommon skill. With a career that extends over 35 years, he has realised his potential and established himself as one of the most respected jazz pianists in the International scene.  Faraò’s style is unique: flawless technical proficiency, unbridled creativity, exhilarating vitality, and remarkable rhythmic skills.

Born in Rome in 1965, he comes from a family with deep musical roots. His solo career has been full of successes since the beginning, such as the victory obtained during the Martial Solal International First Price in Paris in 1998. Thanks to his undoubted artistic talents, he entered into particularly significant collaborations alongside an impressive list of world-famous musicians, including: Jack DeJohnette, Chris Potter, Daniel Humair, Gary Bartz, Lee Konitz, Steve Grossman, Billy Cobham, Mike Clark, Bireli Lagrène, Dennis Chambers, Claudio Fasoli, André Ceccarelli, Ivan Lins, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Ira Coleman, Benny Golson, Von Freeman, Chico Freeman, Miroslav Vitous, John Abercrombie, Didier Lockwood, Billy Hart, Lenny White, Eddie Gomez, Bob Berg, Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman, Wayne Shorter, Johnny Griffin, Richard Galliano, Al Jarreau, Marcus Miller, Charles Tolliver, Toots Thielemans, Christian McBride, George Garzone…

From 2023 he is involved in the “McCoy Tyner Legends” project, where he pays a tribute to one of the greatest jazz pianists of all times: McCoy Tyner. and shares the stage with world-class jazz musicians such as Chico Freeman on tenor sax, Steve Turre on trombone, Avery Sharpe on double bass and Ronnie Burrage on drums.
In 2024 Antonio will release with Criss Cross Records his new album “Tributes” in trio with John Patitucci on bass and Jeff Ballard on drums.
