ANDREA BOCELLI, in scena al tEatro antico di taormina, SARÀ L’UNICO ITALIANO AD ESIBIRSI ALLA CERIMONIA DI INCORONAZIONE DI RE CARLO III
Il 1° ed il 2 settembre Andrea Bocelli con un doppio live rinnova la magia in uno dei teatri antichi più belli accompagnato dal Coro Lirico Siciliano e Orchestra Filarmonica della Calabria
L’artista si esibì anche, su richiesta esplicita della Regina Elisabetta II, al Giubileo di platino
Andrea Bocelli, che ha già annunciato all’interno del tour internazionale il suo doppio live al Teatro Antico di Taormina il prossimo 1 e 2 settembre, sarà l’unico italiano ad esibirsi live ad uno degli eventi più importanti del secolo: l’incoronazione di Re Carlo III. Una grande soddisfazione per uno degli artisti italiani più amati e di maggior successo nel mondo. Tra l’altro, non è la prima volta che Bocelli si esibisce davanti ai reali di Inghilterra. Fu fortemente voluto infatti anche al Giubileo di platino della compianta Regina Elisabetta II che lo ha richiesto personalmente.
Domenica 7 maggio 2023, Andrea Bocelli si esibirà in duetto con il suo storico amico sir Bryn Terfel, per l’incoronazione di un re, evento che si svolgerà nel castello di Windsor. L’artista non è nuovo a grandi eventi di questo tipo avendo cantato anche all’apertura dei Giochi Olimpici, a quella dei Mondiali di calcio e davanti a diversi presidenti americani come Bush, Obama e Biden e ben tre pontefici. Sull’evento l’artista dichiara “Ho avuto il grande onore di cantare per sua maestà la regina Elisabetta II in diverse occasioni. Ora è un altro grande onore essere invitato ad esibirsi al concerto per l’incoronazione del re Carlo III“.
E dopo l’evento dei reali, a grande richiesta, Andrea Bocelli sarà in scena durante il suo tour internazionale anche con un doppio concerto in uno dei posti più incantevoli al mondo, il Teatro Antico di Taormina, reso ancora più famoso dalla serie televisiva The White Lotus.
Il concerto del celebre tenore toscano, visto il successo di botteghino dello spettacolo del 1° settembre, viene replicato il 2 settembre. È l’abbraccio del pubblico internazionale verso una star planetaria che conta ammiratori da ogni parte del mondo. Un binomio da non perdere che vede protagonisti da un lato uno dei teatri antichi più affascinanti d’Italia, quello di Taormina, e dall’altro il grande tenore, premio Crystal Award che ha calcato i più importanti teatri d’opera al mondo come la Carnegie Hall, la Wiener Staatsoper, la Metropolitan Opera House.
Nei concerti, organizzati da DuePunti Eventi, in collaborazione con Live Spettacoli e con il patrocinio dell’Assessorato Beni Culturali Identità Siciliana e dell’Assessorato Turismo, Sport e Spettacolo della Regione Sicilia e della Città di Taormina, Andrea Bocelli sarà accompagnato dal Coro Lirico Siciliano e Orchestra Filarmonica della Calabria, con la partecipazione di alcune guest star, in un repertorio di celebri arie d’opera e delle sue hit più famose.

Riconosciuto in tutto il mondo come icona della più grande tradizione vocale italiana, Andrea Bocelli ha venduto oltre 90 milioni di dischi. Ha perfezionato le sue capacità canore sotto la guida del suo mentore, Franco Corelli, e inizialmente è diventato molto famoso per aver vinto il Festival di Sanremo nel 1994. Allo stesso tempo, ha iniziato la sua folgorante carriera classica, eseguendo sul palco capolavori del repertorio operistico – diretto da Lorin Maazel, Seiji Ozawa e Zubin Mehta. La sua performance di “Nessun dorma” è stata trasmessa in tutto il mondo ed è diventata trend topic in molti paesi. Il 21 agosto, davanti a più di 60.000 persone, Andrea Bocelli è stato invitato ad aprire l’evento “NYC’s Homecoming Concert” a Central Park, accompagnato dalla New York Philharmonic, accanto a artisti del calibro di Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon e Patti Smith. Nel 2022, UMG ha pubblicato ben tre nuove produzioni operistiche, (“Lucia di Lammermoor”, “La forza del destino” e “Otello”) con il tenore toscano nei rispettivi ruoli principali. Andrea Bocelli, who has already announced as part of his international tour his double live performance at the Teatro Antico in Taormina on 1 and 2 September, will be the only Italian to perform live at one of the most important events of the century: the coronation of King Charles III. A great satisfaction for one of the best-loved and most successful Italian artists in the world. Incidentally, this is not the first time that Bocelli has performed in front of the British royals. In fact, he was also strongly desired at the Platinum Jubilee of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who personally requested him.
On Sunday, the 7th May 2023, Andrea Bocelli will perform a duet with his long-time friend, Sir Bryn Terfel, for the coronation of a king, an event that will take place at Windsor Castle. The artist is no stranger to major events of this kind, having also sung at the opening of the Olympic Games, the World Cup and before several American presidents such as Bush, Obama and Biden and no less than three pontiffs. On the event, the artist says, ‘I have had the great honour of singing for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on several occasions. Now it is another great honour to be invited to perform at the coronation concert for King Charles III’.
After the royal event, by popular demand, Andrea Bocelli will also be on stage during his international tour with a double concert in one of the most enchanting places in the world, the Teatro Antico in Taormina, made even more famous by the TV series The White Lotus.
Given the box-office success of the 1 September performance, the concert by the famous Tuscan tenor is being repeated on 2 September. It is the embrace of the international public towards a planetary star who counts admirers from all over the world. A not-to-be-missed pairing that sees one of Italy’s most fascinating ancient theatres, Taormina, and the great tenor, a Crystal Award winner who has performed in the world’s most important opera houses such as Carnegie Hall, the Wiener Staatsoper and the Metropolitan Opera House.
