Milano, 15 settembre 2023. Cadogan Gallery è lieta di annunciare Oggi, no performance, una mostra che mette in dialogo i dipinti di Emanuel Seitz con le sculture di Astrid Bauer.
I due artisti, per la prima volta esposti in Italia, sono di base a Monaco, dove condividono lo studio influenzando le reciproche ricerche e sperimentazioni.
Il titolo della mostra gioca sull’espressione “Oggi non c’è nessuna performance” spesso scritta fuori dai padiglioni della Biennale di Venezia per avvisare il pubblico dell’assenza di eventi, ma a un livello più profondo sta a significare che i lavori proposti traggono la propria forza nella materialità, senza bisogno di ulteriori spiegazioni, sovrastrutture e, per l’appunto, performance.

Milan, 15th September 2023. Cadogan Gallery is pleased to announce Oggi, no performance, an exhibition that establishes a dialogue between the paintings by Emanuel Seitz and the sculptures by Astrid Bauer.
The two artists, exhibiting for the first time in Italy, are based in Munich, where they share a studio influencing each other’s research and experimentation.
The title of the exhibition plays on the expression “Today there is no performance” often written outside the pavilions of the Venice Biennale to inform the public of the absence of events, but at a deeper level it stands for the fact that the displayed works draw their strength in materiality, without the need for further explanation, superstructure and, indeed, performance.
